The prestigious London International Horse Show is set to deliver an exciting weekend of world-class show jumping, featuring some of the sport's brightest stars and most promising combinations. Coming fresh off the heels of the thrilling Rolex Grand Prix of Geneva, the event promises to showcase both established champions and rising talent.
Star-Studded Lineup
Leading the pack is defending champion Daniel Coyle with Legacy, who dominated the London scene last year by winning the Grand Prix and securing a podium finish in the World Cup. The Irish rider's success at this venue marked the beginning of an impressive World Cup circuit streak that continued through Amsterdam and Leipzig.
Britain's own Ben Maher brings an exciting string of horses to his home show. All eyes will be on Point Break, currently the highest-rated 10-year-old in the world and joint fifth in the global rankings. The young superstar has been on a remarkable run, having jumped clear in his last nine 5-star 160cm rounds. If Point Break competes this week, he could make history by becoming the second-highest rated 10-year-old of all time, behind only Maher's previous superstar, Explosion W.
Maher will also bring forward Enjeu de Grisien, who claimed victory in last year's World Cup class. The pair recently showed good form in Geneva with a fourth-place finish in the 1.55m class, suggesting they're ready for another strong showing in London.
British Hopes
The home crowd will have plenty to cheer for as Robert Whitaker and Vermento enter the competition in excellent form. Currently sitting second in the World Cup standings after winning in Helsinki and securing podium finishes throughout the season, they're strong contenders for success in London.
