With clears and Top 10 finishes in their last 8 runs in five-star Grand Prix or World Cup classes, Corbie V.V. and Daniel Bluman look every bit like a combination on the rise.</p>

<p>Still just 10 years old, Qonquest de Rigo already sits as the second-highest-rated 10-year-old horse in the world. Here in Florida, the pair has already shown strong form with a second place finish in last weekend&rsquo;s CSI4* $215,000 MARS Equestrian Grand Prix.</p>
<p>Bertram Allen has carefully produced this horse into the five-star arena, and while the clear rate tells part of the story, the Elo rating highlights something deeper: performance relative to opposition. Qonquest de Rigo isn&rsquo;t just competing at this level, he&rsquo;s holding his own against the very best.</p>
<h2>6. Jordan Molga M &amp; McLain Ward</h2>
<p>An intriguing storyline this week comes from a fresh new partnership. McLain Ward will be campaigning Jordan Molga M, a horse that up until 2 months ago competed under Stella Wasserman and, earlier in 2025 under Nicolas Delmotte.</p>
<p>While this pair have yet to make their CSI5* Grand Prix debut together, they have already picked up two CSI5* Top 10 finishes in 150/155 classes out in Thermal late last year. This weekend marks an important data point in what could become a very significant partnership.</p>

<p dir="ltr"><strong>Why Watch:</strong> Rockett 19 is already an eye-catcher on the flat, but it&rsquo;s his record with Alyssa that&rsquo;s turning heads - two wins (with a dressage score as low as 22.3!) and a second-place finish in the CCI3*-L at Maryland last autumn. Formerly ridden by Louise Romeike, this horse has the look and results of a future star.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Why Now: </strong>He&rsquo;s right at the age sweet spot. The competitive 11-year-olds in 2026 are your LA prospects. If Rockett adapts well to 4*, he could be a serious contender for not only championship teams but titles.</p>
<h2 dir="ltr">3. Diabolo</h2>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Age:</strong> 14 | <strong>Level: </strong>4*</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Rider: </strong>Will Coleman&nbsp;</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Owner:</strong> Diabolo Group</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Why Watch:</strong> A Kentucky 4*-S winner in 2024, Diabolo missed most of 2025 but returned at the end of the year with a bang: a 26.1 dressage and double clear to win the CCI4*-S at TerraNova. His form is elite, and he&rsquo;s experienced on the tough US tracks.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Why Now: </strong>This is his time. He&rsquo;s Will&rsquo;s middle horse between rising stars and veterans like Off The Record. If Will wants options for World Champs selection, Diabolo has to deliver in early 2026.</p>

Never out of the 20s on the flat, top-10 finishes in all but one event last year, and a clear path to 4* level in 2026. He was originally sourced in Ireland by Caroline&rsquo;s longtime business partner Kelly Hutchinson, who had a personal connection to the horse&rsquo;s sire, Savano. Seb was bred with scope and stamina in mind - traits that are now being matched by growing confidence and class.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Why Now:</strong> Caroline Pamukcu is an expert at producing young superstars and managing their step up to the 4* level - just look at HSH Blake. Expect Seb to follow a similar path and become a regular on the US Equestrian Open circuit.</p>

<p dir="ltr"><strong>Why Watch:</strong> 5th at Le Lion d&rsquo;Angers in the 7yo World Championship in October, this horse looked spectacular in all three phases - especially the cross-country. Cosby has been building experience in the UK, and this is one of the best young horses in her string.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Why Now: </strong>With the Under-25 World Championships off the table, all eyes are now on her senior team trajectory. Expect her to target this horse at Blenheim or Boekelo towards the end of the year. Get to know the name now.</p>

<p dir="ltr"><strong>Age:</strong> 9 | <strong>Level:</strong> Established at 3*</p>

<p dir="ltr"><strong>Why Watch: </strong>Winner of the CCI3*-L at Maryland 2025 which was the <a href="https://www.usequestrianopen.org/stories/the-crystal-ball-how-data-predicts-the-next-generation-of-us-superstars" target="_blank" rel="noopener">highest rated performance from US 7&ndash;10 year olds last year.</a> Out of 8 international wins, he has had four wins. A super mover on the flat, Conner has never been out of the 20s in dressage.</p>

The sky is the limit with him and, under Phillip, we&rsquo;re in the best place to get there. Coupled with this grant to help support us, it&rsquo;s all so exciting. </em><em>Even though I have all these big goals, I&rsquo;m still mindful to put Conner first every day. Sometimes the slower route gets you there quicker. Hopefully, we will move up to the advanced level this year, and then maybe set some overseas goals after that.&rdquo;</em></p>

6 US Horses to Follow in 2026

<p>Scott Brash has delivered a January that simply does not happen in show jumping. Across the opening three weeks of the Al Shaqab tour, he has claimed four Grand Prix victories at three-star level or above.&nbsp;</p>
<h2>A record-breaking January in Doha</h2>
<p>The wins came in striking fashion. On two separate weekends, Brash completed rare doubles, winning both the CSI3* and CSI5* Grand Prix on the same day.&nbsp;</p>
<p>EquiRatings data shows that no rider in the modern era has won more than three January Grand Prix classes at this level, and none have done so with multiple five-star victories. Four wins in 24 days, including two at the highest level, sets a new benchmark for early-season dominance.</p>

Hello Jefferson, Hello Folie and Hello Mango all delivered at five-star level, underlining a depth that very few riders can sustain across a full season.</p>

<p><strong>Hello Folie</strong> confirmed her championship credentials with a CSIO5* Grand Prix victory in Barcelona and Team &amp; Individual Silver medals at the European Championships, while <strong>Hello Mango</strong> has stepped from promise to proven winner with her breakthrough five-star success in Doha.</p>
<p><strong>Hello Chadora Lady</strong> completes the quartet, offering consistency up to the five-star Grand Prix level and providing strategic flexibility within Brash&rsquo;s programme.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Together, they form one of the deepest top-end strings currently operating in the sport.</p>
<h2>This afternoon in Doha: what&rsquo;s at stake</h2>
<p>All of this converges in this afternoon&rsquo;s CSI5* Grand Prix of Doha, where Brash partners Hello Folie. Even for elite combinations, winning a five-star Grand Prix remains statistically rare. Yet Brash has spent January making the improbable feel routine.</p>
<p>Another victory would give him a third five-star Grand Prix win in under a month and push his 2026 tally to five Grand Prix wins before February. It would tighten the world-ranking battle at the top and further strengthen his position heading into a championship year.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Not many people saw <strong>Amande de B'Neville</strong> and <strong>Julia Krajewski's </strong>individual gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics coming. But if you looked closely enough, it wasn't that surprising. 'Mandy' posted a 102 HPR at Saumur in the early season, followed up with a 100 in Luhm&uuml;hlen later that summer - all before flying out to Japan and earning her medal.</p>

A 107 at Bicton later that spring only added momentum, carrying the partnership all the way to individual Olympic bronze in Paris.</p>

The 100+ Club: How April Predicts August

<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Willem Greve</strong> arrives as the statistical favourite with a 15% win chance, riding <strong>Grandorado TN N.O.P.</strong>, the horse he partnered to Friday's victory. The pair has a 49% chance of jumping clear in Round 1&mdash;the highest in the field&mdash;and Greve is riding a wave of form after topping two World Cup qualifiers this season.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Despite his legendary status, there's one gap in Grandorado's CV: he's never won an individual CSI5* 1.60m class. While Grandorado has been part of three five-star team wins for the Netherlands, the individual victory at this height has remained elusive. Is this his time?</p>

The Round 1 clear rate has held steady over the last five years at 24% (50 from 205), while the jump-off clear rate sits at 64% (32 from 50). This pattern suggests tonight will be about speed and tight lines once combinations navigate the first round.</p>
