Since 2010, five-star Grand Prix and World Cup classes have been the pinnacle of showjumping. They test consistency, power, and the ability to deliver under the brightest lights. The data doesn’t just celebrate victories — it reveals which horses stood the test of time, competing and performing at a level very few could match.

Verdi TN: The Marathoner of Modern Showjumping

Few names resonate with longevity quite like Verdi TN. With 107 five-star Grand Prix and World Cup starts, Verdi holds the record for the most appearances since 2010. Competing year after year at the highest level, he became a symbol of reliability and endurance in the sport. His consistency was not only a testament to his ability, but also to the team behind him who kept him fit, focused, and ready to perform.

During his five-star career spanning from 2010 to 2019, he picked up four major wins. In 2013, he won the Grands Prix of Al Ain and Lyon, before claiming a win in the Grand Prix of Madrid the following year and a World Cup victory in Verona in 2017. He was also a part of three Dutch Nations Cup winning teams, where he produced only clear rounds.

Gazelle: A Season Like No Other

Few horses have captured the imagination quite like Gazelle, Kent Farrington’s remarkable mare. In 2017, she set a modern benchmark by winning six five-star Grand Prix and World Cup classes in a single year, more than any other horse since 2010. That season of dominance placed her firmly among the legends of the sport, a record that continues to stand as a symbol of consistency and brilliance at the very highest level.

Casall ASK: Efficiency Redefined

While Verdi shone for sheer numbers, Casall Ask made his mark through efficiency. Out of 127 five-star rounds, Casall maintained a 74% clear rate, the highest of any horse since 2010. This remarkable figure is more than a statistic; it’s a reflection of his precision and his rider’s ability to bring him to peak performance at the right time. Where many horses falter under pressure, Casall consistently delivered.
