What's new in Eventing Manager 2.0?
Eventing Manager 2.0 has landed with smarter scoring, a different strategy, and a season-long game. Here’s everything you need to know about how it works and what’s new.

On Friday we announced that the game you all loved has returned. But this is Eventing Manager 2.0 and it comes with some changes; smarter scoring, a different strategy, and a season-long challenge
The most important thing to know is that it is now played on manager.equiratings.com.
Team Size and Format
Forget the old four with a drop score. In Eventing Manager 2.0, you have five selections and all scores are included. Consistency is king in this new game as every horse on your team has to deliver.
A New Points System
The penalty system is gone. Eventing Manager 2.0 brings in phase-by-phase scoring that rewards consistency, speed, and clear rounds:
- 20 points in dressage
- 20 points in showjumping
- 60 points in cross-country
Dressage: A score of 25.0 or better = 20 points. Every penalty above that mark costs 1 point. Example: a 28.0 test = 17 points.
Showjumping: A clear round = 20 points. Each fault knocks off 1 point. Example: two poles down (8 faults) = 12 points.
Cross-Country: A clear inside the time = 60 points. Each jumping penalty costs the same in points (e.g. a refusal = –20 points). Every second over the time (0.4 penalties) = –1 point. Example: 1.6 time penalties (4 seconds over) = 56 points.
If one of your selections is eliminated or your horse does not finish all three phases, you keep the points that you have earned. There are no minus points - the lowest you can get in a phase is 0.
No Transfers or Price Changes
In Eventing Manager 2.0, you can not change your team as the competition plays out. The market will close just before the dressage phase begins and will not reopen.
The Season-Long Game
Eventing Manager 2.0 is going to be a season-long challenge. While you can win Manager of the Week or Month, the real prize is Manager of the Season. This will kick off properly in 2026 so now is the perfect time to get practicing and testing out new strategies.
It All Begins at Burghley
Eventing Manager 2.0 launches just in timehe Defender Burghley Horse Trials. With the live leaderboard updating after every phase, you will feel the highs and lows in real time.
And remember, this game is better with company. Create private leagues with your friends, or throw yourself into the public ones against fans from around the world. Rivalries are the point. Bragging rights are essential.
