Fifty combinations come forward in the CSIO5* Longines Grand Prix of Sopot in Poland this afternoon. The Germans and the Swiss come in all guns blazing in this competition.
<h3>The Favourite</h3>
Gerrit Nieberg &amp; Blues d&rsquo;Aveline (707) This strong pair comes in as the highest-rated combination in the field this afternoon. They started the 2023 season off with a bang by winning the World Cup on home soil in Leipzig. We haven&rsquo;t seen them at five-star level since a disappointing outing at the FEI World Cup Finals in Omaha in April, but despite that they still sport a strong 57% clear rate at five-star 160 (4 from 7). They will be determined to get back to their winning form here in Poland.
<h3>One To Watch</h3>
Martin Fuchs &amp; Commissar Pezi (702) Martin is one of the strongest riders on the circuit today and has a rising young star in the 10-year-old Commissar Pezi. Already one of the Top 15 highest-rated 10-year-olds in the world, Commissar Pezi has claimed his rightful place as one of Martin&rsquo;s leading mounts. Just two weeks ago, the pair finished second in the CSIO5* Grand Prix on home soil in Sankt Gallen. Will they be able to improve that performance and come home from Poland with their first Grand Prix victory?
<h3>Hometown Hero&nbsp;</h3>
Przemyslaw Konopacki &amp; Home-Run (636) The highest-rated Polish combination ranks 14th in the field. This pair have only recently been introduced to the five-star level and are still finding their bearings. Despite this, they have already produced one clear at five-star 160 from two starts. With many Top 5 placings in 2* and 3* Grand Prix already under their belt, with the extra support of the home crowd, Przemyslaw and Home-Run are motivated to put in a strong performance today.

Who Will Star in Sopot?

A total of 44 combinations come forward for the Longines Grand Prix of Sankt Gallen, but the field is wide open. With no clear favourite, but five combinations being forecast a over 5% chance at the win, we could potentially see an underdog rise to the plate. These are three to track in Sankt Gallen.
<h2>The Favourite</h2>
Harry Charles &amp; Romeo 88 (750) The young Brit comes forward with the highest-rated horse in the field. This pair have already contested some of the toughest tracks in the world including Olympic Games and World Championships. After a winter break, the pair returned to five-star level in Hamburg two weeks ago, finishing with just four faults in the Grand Prix.&nbsp;
<h2>The One to Watch</h2>
David Will &amp; My Prins van Dorperheide (740) This 11-year-old gelding is relatively new to the highest level but has soared into the 2023 season. So far, they maintain a 66% clear rate at 5* 160 and have already added a five-star Grand Prix win to their record. Six weeks ago, the pair took top honours in the LGCT Grand Prix of Mexico City, on similar turf as what they will be faced with today in Sankt Gallen. Will the grass of Sankt Gallen be as fertile to them as the Mexican greens?&nbsp;
<h2>Hometown Hero</h2>
Steve Guerdat &amp; Venard de Cerisy (737) The Swiss crowd will surely all be backing this powerhouse pair. This is fruitful ground for Switzerland&rsquo;s favourites as they have already won this Grand Prix back in 2019. Today, they come into the competition fresh off the back of a double clear contributing to a Swiss win in the Nations Cup on Friday. Can they please the home crowd by scoring a Swiss double?

A total of 29 combinations will come forward in the CSIO5* Grand Prix of Vancouver-Langley. Two of them are considered firm favourites to claim the win.
Conor Swail &amp; Count Me In (731) When it comes to a jump-off, Conor Swail and Count Me In are always a force to be reckoned with. That is if they get into the jump-off. Despite being assigned a 23% chance at the win today, the duo has yet to produce a clear at 5* 160 in 2023. We do know they are more than capable of producing the goods as proven by their past achievements, namely on large grass arenas. They delivered a crucial double clear on home soil in Dublin to help Ireland secure victory in the Nations Cup as well as claiming an impressive win in a 160 class at Spruce Meadows.
Daniel Coyle &amp; Legacy (740) It looks like Vancouver might be hosting an Irish duel tonight as teammates go head-to-head. The EquiRatings Prediction Centre assigns Daniel Coyle and Legacy a 20% chance at the win. Just like their teammates (or rivals) they have yet to produce a clear round at 5* 160 in 2023, however they maintained a 60% clear rate at that level in 2022, proving they are more than capable of it.&nbsp;

Who’s Up for Victory in Vancouver?

The first leg of the European Division of the Longines FEI Nations Cup series is upon us. Especially the home nation has lined up a strong team to ensure a solid start to the season. Which teams are forecast a good performance by EquiRatings&rsquo; Jumping Prediction Centre?
<h2> Switzerland (Win 26% - Podium 60%)</h2>
Martin Fuchs &amp; Leone Jei (762) The home crowd is in for a treat with the team selected by Chef d&rsquo;Equipe Michel Sorg. With Martin Fuchs and Leone Jei coming forward today as frontrunners, they have the highest-rated horse in the field on their side. Not only were they a part of the winning team on home soil last year, they produced one of just three crucial double clear rounds.&nbsp;
Steve Guerdat &amp; Venard de Cerisy (737) These two know what&rsquo;s at stake here in Sankt Gallen, they too were a part of last year&rsquo;s winning team. This will only be their second outing at 160 in 2023, but with their extensive experience, they are surely motivated to deliver the clears today.
Bryan Balsiger &amp; Dubai du Bois Pinchet (686) Despite a miscommunication in the jump-off of the Rolex Grand Prix of Rome last weekend, this duo showed signs of being in good shape after a clear in the first round.&nbsp;
Edouard Schmitz &amp; Gamin van &rsquo;t Naastveldhof (682) This will be their first outing at 160 since the World Cup Finals in Omaha, but they had a good result finishing second in a 155 JO class in Hamburg just two weeks ago.
<h2>France (Win 20% - Podium 54%)</h2>
Francois Xavier Boudant and Brazyl du Mezel (715) come in as the highest-rated French combination. Despite producing the crucial double clear in the CSIO3* Nations Cup in Kronenberg a couple weeks ago to help the French team take the win, this will be the pair&rsquo;s first appearance on a five-star Nations Cup team.
<h2>Netherlands (Win 15% - Podium 46%)</h2>
This team is spearheaded by Harrie Smolders and Bingo du Parc (710). This pair are coming in fresh off the back of a Top 8 finish in last week&rsquo;s Rolex Grand Prix of Rome, demonstrating solid form at the highest level, as well as on big grass arenas.

As Gregory Wathelet has only been paired up with Bond Jamesbond de Hay for a little under 2 months, the Belgian&rsquo;s vast experience will be crucial to deliver a good result today.
Riesenbeck International (713) The Riesenbeck International team has been soaring the GCL season so far. The combinations they present today are already known winners as they took victory in the Mexico leg earlier in the season. With Mumbai, they have the second-highest rated horse in the field who has been maintaining a 63.6% clear rate at 155-160 so far this year.
Saint-Tropez Pirates (707) As the home team, the Saint-Tropez Pirates are motivated to finish on the podium at their home show. To ensure a shot at the win Angelica Augustsson-Zanotelli tacks up her Grand Prix winning mare, Kalinka van de Nachtegaele, while Simon Delestre comes out on one of the Top 5 highest-rated 10-year-olds, Dexter Fontenis Z.

 Laura Kraut &amp; Baloutinue (773) This powerhouse pair has been relentlessy consistent this year. Over 14 rounds at 4* and 5* level at 150 or above, the 14-year-old gelding maintains a monumental 78.6% clear rate. At 160, that rate lies at 75%. On similar soil in Mexico City, this duo finished third in the LGCT Grand Prix, before heading to San Miguel de Allende to produce the only double clear round in the Nations Cup. With the current form these two are in and a favourable last draw, they are the ones to watch today!&nbsp;
Andre Thieme &amp; DSP Chakaria (766) The reigning European champions are another well-accustomed duo to big grass arenas, recording their greatest successes on the green surface. They haven&rsquo;t had much exposure at the 160 level yet this year but produced a solid 0-4 Nations Cup result here on Friday.&nbsp;
Daniel Bluman &amp; Ladriano Z (753) This well-established duo comes into the today&rsquo;s Rolex Grand Prix in Rome off the back of a sixth place finish in the Rolex Grand Prix of Windsor. Despite having produced numerous successes in upper-level Grand Prix, they have only produced 2 out of 6 clears at 160 this year. Can they add a clear to their record today?
Giampiero Garofalo &amp; Max Van Lentz Schrans The home crowd will surely be excited to see this pair return to the Piazza di Siena today. They produced one of just four double clear rounds in the 160 Nations Cup on Friday, a feat made even more impressive by the fact that before then, Max Van Lentz Schrans had never contested a track higher than 150.&nbsp;

Kent Farrington &amp; Creedance This pair hardly needs introducing, with multiple Grand Prix victories to their name. At 16 years old, Creedance now seems happier at in 150-155 classes, maintaining at 50% clear rate at that level over the past 12 months. Clears are what is needed in today&rsquo;s team competition to help Team KPF clinch the win.
Lillie Keenan &amp; Agana van het Gerendal Z This duo is very competitive at 150 level. They are heading into the competition at Thunderbird fresh off the back of a 150 victory at the CSIO5* event in San Juan Capistrano a couple of weeks back. Lillie and Agana will be a valuable asset to the Trailblazers, the team forecast as the favourites to win by the EquiRatings Jumping Prediction Centre.&nbsp;
Daniel Coyle &amp; Gisborne VDL This is a relatively newly formed combination but have already booked solid results together. A fact proven by their victory in yesterday&rsquo;s 150 jump-off class. The Roadrunners will want this duo to continue in this form and produce the clears for today&rsquo;s team competition as well.
