Julien Epaillard & Dubai du Cedre put in a very fast round which would have put them in silver medal position if not for one rail knocked. Nevertheless, this competive pair still enter Day 2 in joint fourth position.

A strong performance in the first qualifier for Ben Maher and his superb mare Dallas Vegas Batilly that has been slightly clouded by knocking the second to last fence. It is however far from over for this combination as they currently stand 6th in the provisional ranking.
